CHSA CONGRATULATES THREE NEW SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
The CHSA Board of Directors congratulates the winners of three CHSA Scholarships. The Scholarship Committee had several applications to consider and is proud to announce that the following members are each receiving a $1,500 scholarship.
- Kaitlyn Boggio of Somers has worked at Oak Meadow Farm riding and teaching and working with some people with disabilities. Last August she participated in the 2011 USEF Pony Finals in Louisville, Kentucky where her team placed 6th in the nation and she won the Sportsmanship Award. She will be entering UCONN this fall studying Animal Science.
- Irene Peluso of Farmington will be a sophomore at Fairfield University with a double major of Pre-Med and English. Irene is a member of several honor societies including the National Honor Society. She rides out of Folly Farm where she has been active as the Folly farm Junior Committee Co-Chair organizing fund raising events to benefit the Hole In The Wall Gang.
- Jennifer Weisenberger of Griswold is attending Castleton State College in Vermont where she is pursuing a medical degree. Her goal is to become a pediatrician. Her many community service activities include assisting the staff at the St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen and working at the Jewett City Food Pantry.
